GEMADEPT RECEIVES FORBES VIETNAM’S 50 BEST VIETNAMESE LISTED COMPANIES AWARD

On 29 September 2016, the Forbes Vietnam Business Forum & 50 Best Vietnamese Listed Companies Award Ceremony 2016 were formally organized with the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, HCMC People's Committee and representatives of 500 leading enterprises in Vietnam.

This year's forum theme of "Overcoming challenges" was very exciting with straightforward dialogues between government representatives and businesses on the health of the economy, policies, business environment and solutions to the bottlenecks that businesses are facing. The event was also a good place for local and foreign enterprises to share business opportunities, cooperation and experience in branding, creativity and human resources development, etc.

The highlight of this year's forum was the 50 Best Vietnamese Listed Companies Award Ceremony 2016. At the ceremony, Gemadept was honored in the sector of Transport and Logistics.

According to Forbes Vietnam, the total market capitalization of the 50 companies reached 829,010 billion dongs, accounting for 62.14% of the market capitalization on both HOSE and HNX combined (as of May 16, 2016). Total revenue reached 475,546 billion dongs, making up 37.77% of the total market revenue. Total profit after tax of the companies in the list reached 53,482 billion dongs, occupying 53.08% of the total profits of the whole market.

The List of 50 Best Vietnamese Listed Companies was designed to provide information on the listed companies with outstanding business performances and high profits for investors; Moreover, the List also aimed to honor and to encourage the spirit of enterprises as Vietnam economy has shown strong movements to capture growth opportunities in the coming period.
