Through this event, Gemadept had an opportunity to expand its relationship as well as to look for new partners and especially to popularize its services to Cambodian and international customers and partners.

On the morning of 6 November 2010, Vietnam Trade Fair in Cambodia 2010 under the theme “Friendship, Cooperation and Development” was opened in Phnompenh attracting the participation of 240 Vietnamese businesses with 276 booths.
Vietnam Trade Fair in Cambodia 2010, part of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry’s national trade promotion program, was held by the Vietnamese Defense Ministry under coordination with Cambodian Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Defense in order to assist Vietnamese businesses to push up exporting products and services into Cambodia market.
This was the first time Gemadept joined such a trade fair in Cambodia, but the company was quite professional in its way of preparing for the event. Gemadept was introduced to this potential market as a prestigious brand name in its business sectors, especially Shipping and Logistics, which attracted lots of customers’ concern. Brochures and Catalogs of Gemadept were compactly presented but still fully conveyed necessary information to the customers. Moreover, promotional gifts were beautifully designed with the theme color of blue, which is Gemadept’s traditional color.
According to Gemadept’s statistical data, there were approximately 100 people visiting and studying about the company’s activities – This confirmed the company’s initial achievement in promoting its business to this potential market and was a great success when Gemadept first time joined such a trade fair in Cambodia.
Furthermore, Gemadept was one of 31 businesses joining the fair especially received the certificate of merit for its excellent contribution to the success of the fair granted by Vietnamese Defense Ministry.
The fair was a good opportunity for Gemadept to publicize its services in “the land of pagodas and temples” as well as to look for investment opportunities and potential partners. This was one of Gemadept’s important steps in its strategy to penetrate Cambodian market in the time to come. The fair closed but the impressions about a professional, dynamic and fast developing Gemadept are still there in the mind of guests.
